What it means
The Unique Entity ID (UEI) is a 12-character identifier issued when you register in SAM.gov. It replaced the old DUNS number in 2022.
As far as the federal government is concerned, the UEI *is* your company. Every federal award, sub-award, and registration ties back to it.
